What websites are you guys using to find local jobs?

Do any of you use Indeed for job searching? I keep having issues entering my preferred location, but it keeps showing me jobs outside my reach, which really sucks because I can only walk. I don't have a car, and there isn't any public transportation.

Really nervous about interviewing for the first time ever, also applying for the first time

What are the most common questions they ask during an interview, and how do I answer them? I'm really worried about whether I'm going to be able to answer the questions the best since I've never had a job or have never had an interview. I really want to be prepared because I really need a job.

What is the most important Calisthenics equipment for building muscle under $50?

I really wanna gain muscle with calisthenics, but I don't know where to start. I have a pull-up bar with dips, and that's pretty much it

Need recommendations for rucking backpack

Hello, I really want to get into rucking more. I had a tactical military backpack that I got for around $30, but it broke when I loaded 90 lbs into it. I also used it for weighted pushups. Could anyone please recommend some rucking backpacks that can hold 100+ lbs and are on the cheaper side? I don’t need all the bells and whistles. I just want something durable enough to hold weight.

I found one that’s relatively within my budget called the Outdoor Hiking Military MOLLE Backpack Rucksack 100L. Is that any good?

On-Demand: Guest Advocate Question at Target

Hello everyone,

This will be my first time applying for a real job. Throughout my life, I’ve mostly had to do odd jobs because school got in the way, along with some family issues. I also don’t own a car, and there aren’t any jobs within walking distance or nearby public transportation options.

I recently saw a position called “On-Demand: Guest Advocate,” which seems to have very flexible hours. From what I understand, it sounds like I may even be able to choose my own schedule, and I noticed that the application says there’s no deadline and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

My question is: is this job really as good and flexible as it sounds? Is it considered a good job overall? For example, in extreme situations, could I work only 3 days a week, or even just a few days per month? Could I choose shorter shifts, like 3–5 hours at a time?

I’m mainly interested in this job because the flexibility sounds helpful for my situation. I sometimes need to help my family during emergencies, and I also deal with some health issues, so having a flexible schedule would make things much less stressful for me.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experience with this role or knows how the scheduling process works.

I may have my first job interview and really worried, what are some important do's and don'ts?

Hello, this will be my first job interview ever, and I’m really worried about it.

I’ve never had a traditional job before, besides odd jobs, because most of the jobs available were either too far away, conflicted with school, or didn’t work with family issues I was dealing with. Recently, though, I found a job that seems really flexible with hours, which is why I’m so interested in it.

I’m currently in college and have been able to attend completely free through scholarships. I graduated from high school with a 3.6 GPA and currently have a 3.7 GPA in college. Some of my work has also been recognized by my college, which bought some of my test work for their permanent collection, and I was even featured on the front cover of one of their magazines.

Would things like that help me look better to employers, even without previous job experience?

I really want this job and don’t want to mess it up because it’s one of the few opportunities that actually seems compatible with my situation. I’m worried because a lot of people get their first jobs at 16 or younger, and I’m 20 and have never even applied for a job before because of the reasons I mentioned above. I’m afraid employers might judge me for that or think I’m lazy, even though that’s not the case.

I also have a disability that affects my speech, and I feel like that puts me at a real disadvantage during interviews.

The specific job I’m applying for is the On-Demand: Guest Advocate position at Target

I’d really appreciate any advice or reassurance from people who’ve been in similar situations or who know what employers are actually looking for in first-time applicants.
