Can you live off of a full time barista wage?

I am currently looking for other work and need to be making a wage of around $17+ per hour. I interviewed for a full time barista position at a hospital kiosk/bistro today. I really love the people there and the vibe. I'm not sure how many hours I'd be working a week but I did tell them I'm looking for full time work. Their starting pay is $11 per hour. The interviewer told me she never sees that number and is getting about $17 to $20 per hour with tips. She even said that she was having a slow day but in the span of 10 minutes she had to help 4 people while interviewing me. So the regulars and traffic don't seem horrible.

Is this job too good to be true? I need to be able to afford things and pay bills so $11 per hour sounds incredibly low with a chance for my daily paycheck to be lower than what I need to cover my expenses. I would love to work somewhere like this but I'm concerned it'd be a huge gamble.

I want to rejoin witchcraft to help live my life more intentionally

For about two years I've been in a slump with my life. I'm an artist and have been on and off with my artwork. I haven't really wanted to follow to-do lists or accomplish much. I've slowly stopped trying to really maintain care of myself, my home and what not other than the bare essentials at times. In 2026, I've been trying my best to get a little bit more on my feet and have been doing better. More self-care and trying to clean better but there's often times where I slip up. The main problem I have is going through my life really unintentionally. I'm really scatter-brained at times and can be forgetful. Kinda not super grounded or mindful.

With all that crazy context being said, I've come to a point where I'd really like to try to live intentionally and more mindfully. I used to practice witchcraft on and off years ago and I loved the mindfulness of it. The only difference is now I don't really believe in like gods, energy or the universe making my spells come true. I just want to do them because it helps me to slow down and think. Any tips on getting back into it with a different mindset and maybe where I should start?
