CCNP in Software Engineering role
Hello all,
I am currently a software engineer with around 3 years of experience. Since the start of my career, I had the chance to learn more about networking on the job by working on certain products (i.e. VPN solutions) and also managed to obtain my CCNA.
Since my company offers financing for Cisco certifications, I started working towards obtaining my CCNP (ENCOR + ENSLD) with the main hopes that it would help me take more informed decisions when designing/architecting network features, and be useful down the line for my career if I decide to switch to a network engineering/solution engineer role.
I was wondering if anyone here followed a similar path, or know people that did ? Did you see any real value in following certifications beyond the CCNA in a software engineering role ?
Thanks!
