Gimbal replace stedycam?

I have a production coming up in which a remote speaker is going to do live interventions with people in the audience. My initial thought was to use a Steadicam for this, equipped with a transmitter sending the camera back to the switcher and another transmitter, actually the receiver, fix on the camera showing the person being interviewed the person doing the interviewing. My question is whether this type of rig would be too much for a gimbal, because it may be that using a proper Steadicam rig would be too expensive for the production. Thoughts?

(Edit)

Camera it is live to program. Think world class trainer beaming in to a 600 person venue, and doing live interventions with people in the audience. In the venue, on the huge LED, it would show either the remote trainer, the person being coached, or a two up of both. Eyeliner is critical and while it is not practical to use an actual teleprompter, need to get as close as possible. And yes, two wireless packs, one for camera out and one for trainer return.

Liquid biopsy?

My mom (90) is newly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Likely stage 4 but we do not know for sure as a biopsy was not performed (and will likely not be done given her age). The oncologist suggested a liquid biopsy (I think it is called Galleri) and we are wondering if it is something to consider. That she has pancan is no question, the imaging clearly shows. The idea, as we understand it, would be to possibly identify the exact type of cancer and tune treatment based on that. Having said that, her choice is to focus on care and quality of life and not get in to chemo that is likely be horrible for her with little or no benefit. So in that case, what purpose would knowing serve.

Desperately searching for most calories per sip

Mom is 90, pancan stage 4. Is so so terribly frustrated that she can't eat more that a tiny amount of food. She does manage to drink shakes etc, with great difficulty. I doubt she gets 500 calories at the moment per day. Desperately looking for ideas to concoct that have the most calories per sip. We combine Ensure with chocolate milk, will try to make meat broth, any ideas much appreciated.

(Added later)

One of the difficult things is that it's not that she isn't hungry, she's very hungry and wants to eat, but our understanding is that the tumor is pressing on the stomach and preventing it from expanding, I don't know if that's the right term, but basically this causes an almost immediate feeling of being full. And this is why it's difficult to get food down. Is this the case? And if so, what will any medication help with? I mean if it's a physical thing.

Why does Cytology take so long

It has been two weeks since the pulmonary effusion fluid drained from my mom (1.5 liters) was sent for Cytology analysis and results are not back yet. Why does this take so long?

My mom, 90, diagnosed

My mom is 90 and they found a tumor on her pancreas 3 weeks ago. Till then she had been living alone, unassisted. Fully cognizant. And now this... Her sister is currently 101 and the other passed just 3 months before 100. We were so hopeful... After a hospital stay of one week I took her home and that night tucked her in to bed in her room, which was my room as a child. Oh the twists and turns of life...

For several months now she has not been feeling great. And despite all the tests, they found nothing. Until the CT. Prior to that, about 9 months or so, she experienced a much reduced appetite and difficulty eating. Nothing tasted good and was able to eat only very tiny amounts. 6 months ago she went through a period of dizziness and instability. Again, tests found nothing. 6 weeks ago she went to the ER due to chest pain and they drained 750ml of fluid from around her lungs. She felt immediately better. But it returned two weeks later and this time 1.5 liters were drained. And that's when they did the CT and found the mass.

When my brother and I told her, she said:

- I am not surprised

- I had a good life

- What are my options

- We have work to do

Strong viking stock, as we like to say. She has fight. But is so frail now...

At home she oscillates between walking freely with her walker, and needing to have help with a wheelchair. She can barely eat, just a bite or a few sips at a time. This is most worrying.

We are looking for a full time live-in, but I intend to be here as much as I can. I can do part of my work remotely. I have two kids, 17.5 and 20. Have not seen my teenage daughter in two weeks, just a few times. I did take them both out for dinner, separately, for some quality time. Do not see my partner either much these days.

The other day I went to the pharmacy to pick up stuff that the paleativ care provider asked us to get. It was a few pieces of paper, I did not look much at them. I was shocked when they put together three huge bags of supplies and meds. I snuck them in to the house while she was sleeping and hid them away in some place. Did not want to alarm her by seeing them.

I know this type of cancer is aggressive. I do not know what stage she is in (I assume 3) or how much time she has. I realize no one can tell. We will just have to take it day by day. I realize it is going to be a tough ride.

If you would like to share your insights on what we might expect or just encouragement or ideas for support and care, kindly do.

Peace.

Here is my use case. In a large seminar, the trainer will make an appearance on screen to do some live coaching. At some point he would like to do a 1:1 session with someone from the crowd. For this purpose I plan to have a camera op with a wireless transmitter who can go shoot up close. Now the person being coached, can see the remote trainer up on the large screen at the venue (think cinema size screen). But that would make a weird looking angle. So I figure, why not place a 7" monitor directly on the camera and send the trainer feed directly there as well. So do any of the Accsoon, Holliland etc have a transmitter that also has a return channel? If not (or if too expensive, my only other option would be to run two SDI lines to the camera but that would severely restrict his movement at the venue.

A verey strange situation on one specific PC (Windows 11). I have a 2i2 connected to it and set it as an input to OBS (Audio Input), I see it in the meters but it does not output on monitor channel or to the stream. This repeats with another sound card (a UMC22). But on vMix, the sound card(s) work fine and are heard both on monitor and output to stream. Did a clean un-install and install of OBS - same problem. Any idea what the problem might be? Very strange. Thanks.
