I have an idea for a miniseries that takes place in the wider 28 universe (outside of the UK).

Taking place 2 years before 28 years later, the show follows the plot of the WHO taking strides in creating a 2-dose vaccine, amidst intel that an ecoterrorist organization plans to weaponize the virus. The first dose establishes symptomatic immunity while essentially making the recipient a carrier, while the upcoming second dose (still in development) clears the virus.

After a research scientist accidentally inoculates himself with the first dose vaccine, he is transported to an isolated island with other vaccine recipients (who are essentially infected but pose no risk to each other).

For public relation and positive participation incentive, the island is adorned with luxurious amenities, while the staffing and upkeep is maintained by a futuristic Al system (because hiring actual staff would put them at risk of exposure).
While on the island, he befriends a group of content creators and influencers who vlog their experience on the island.

This is meant to be a spinoff and the most different installment in the universe, working more as a social drama that contextualizes the world outside of the UK, with horror elements not being present until the final 2 episodes.

There will be easter eggs and references to the movies throughout the series.

While I initially considered making this a live action project, for budgetary reasons I chose to go with an anime-like format, and have already casted a few voice actors for the project.
