Gone are the days of a sweet fluffy prince who cares for all. Since Chapter 3’s opening he’s entered a sort of nihilism arc, grappling with the truth that he and all Darkners are not of the same weight as the Lightners. Insisting to Tenna having true desires for himself is wrong, and shifting from pacifism to bold hero in the face of the Titan. His room is empty as a reflection of himself, for he is nothing but a vehicle for the prophecy. It could even be argued his caring nature was slightly a front just to see if he could defy the inevitable.
