Should Web3 development be taught in schools or computer science programs?
Not as investing or price speculation — strictly from a development and technology perspective.
Students already learn topics like databases, APIs, cybersecurity, and traditional web development. Do you think Web3 concepts should eventually be part of that conversation too?
Things like:
how blockchains work
smart contract development
dApp architecture
wallet integration
security and common vulnerabilities
on-chain vs off-chain data
when decentralization actually makes sense — and when it doesn’t
I’m especially curious whether developers here think this belongs in high school CTE programs, college computer science courses, guest speaker sessions, or should remain something people learn independently.
What would you consider the minimum Web3 curriculum worth teaching a student today?
