UPDATE: The next available flight would be

LAX - DFW lands at 1751. I have 1.5 hours to collect my baggage and recheck to emigrate internationally.

DFW - DOH departs at 1920 lands 1745

DOH- CMB departs 1855 (very short layover..)

CX885 departing LAX is gonna be delayed by 90 minutes which leaves only 10 minutes for my transit to Colombo, aka I will miss my connection. I saw another email saying they rebooked me a whole 24 hours later.

I’m so devastated as my dad is sick and I might not make it in time…

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to combat this. I’m lost and desperate.

Just learned that my dad is very sick in hospital and I want to make a trip home to see him. Issue is, my OPT expires June 12th, F1 visa expires July 5th (have not applied for STEM OPT yet).

Also I traveled internationally twice this year (once to Singapore in Jan and then to Canada early in April).

Idk how traveling thrice within 4 months will look when I reenter and it’s messing with my mind, but I also know I’ll regret not seeing my dad.
