Reputable Asbestos Abatement Contractors?

Joint compound in bedrooms in 1974 East Brunswick house tested positive for 2% chrysotile and looking to get some electric work done that involves drywall/ceiling cutting. Of course, no electrician is gonna touch that unless abated. Any recommendations?

Thank you!

Electrician Work with Asbestos in Joint Compound - Central NJ

First time homeowner and boy am I learning a lot in my first 2 months lol. We got an electrician to come out and give us an estimate for a few things we wanted to get done, including some stuff that requires drywall and ceiling cutting (mostly relocating outlets but also installing a new bathroom fan and a few recessed lights).

My house was built in 1974 and so the electrician required us to confirm the presence of lead paint and/or asbestos. Results came back today negative lead paint and asbestos (2% chrysotile) in the joint compound. So annoyed. It is what it is but what am I realistically looking at here in terms of cost, and what influences cost for abatement (I.e. number of rooms, size, etc.).

Additionally, has anyone here had a similar scenario where the electrician was able to trace out the cut lines, got abatement done, and then had the electrician come back? I feel this may have to be my course of action.

Thanks in advance!

Knicks Fan Visiting Chicago - Where to Watch Game 5?

I will be in Chicago this weekend and little did I know my Knicks would be one damn game away from the NBA championship! Looking forward to visiting but obviously would love to support my squad tomorrow night. Any good sports bars or places to watch the game? I will be staying at the JW Marriott by the Loop so ideally closer to there the better. Thanks!

Looking for Reliable Contractor or Handyman in East Brunswick

Recently moved into a house in East Brunswick, NJ and looking for recommendations for a good contractor or handyman who can handle a variety of projects. We’ve got a mix of things to tackle — some electrical, plumbing, light construction/carpentry, and other general home updates/repairs.

Looking for someone dependable, fairly priced, and easy to work with since we’re hoping to get most of the projects wrapped up by July.

Would appreciate any recommendations (or people to stay away from). Thanks!
