Am I the only one who preferred the Rabbit's Foot staying a mystery?

One thing I always loved about MI3 was that the Rabbit's Foot was never explained. Benji's monologue describing it as an "anti-God" weapon capable of ending the world made it feel more intimidating and threatening seen as you didn't know what it could do and the only real idea was the biohazard logo on the rabbits foot itself which I thought mean't it was gonna be some badass nuclear weapon that as Benji said "would lay waste to anything".

Now, I know some people aren't fans of J.J. Abrams' "mystery box" approach, but I actually think it worked perfectly here as not everything needs to be explained, and at least in my opinion the Rabbit's Foot was far more compelling because it was left to the audience's imagination.

Then The Final Reckoning tried to be clever by tying all the films together and revealing that it was essentially just liquid code (or whatever the explanation was) and that completely stripped away the mystery and made it far less interesting. The Rabbit's Foot was much more effective as an unknown, world-ending MacGuffin than something that was eventually given a concrete explanation.
