What’s the weirdest/funniest evidence you submitted?

Let’s bring some positivity to this sub! 😁

I’ll start:
- lunch notes

I pack my husband’s lunches and put in some cute doodles to boost his mood at work. We included some of these cards I made as an additional evidence.

Job offer and pending i765

Marriage based AOS from F-1.

May 29th: Filled both i485 and i765
July 2nd: Got invitation for biometrics for both cases. Completed. Case changed status to “USCIS is Currently Processing your Case”

And around that time I got a dream job offer with the latest start date on Aug 15th🎉 Literally all I ever wanted from a job!

July 7th: Submitted an expedite request for I-765 (financial loss). Attached job offer letter signed both from the company, and myself. And personal statement explaining my situation.

No update on the portal. I called the same day I submitted the request and USCIS officer confirmed she sees it in the system. I don’t see anything on my end.
Now it’s July 21st and there’s still no updates.

HR called and said that if I won’t get my work authorization by Aug 17th, then they will withdraw the offer. She said they most likely won’t be able to provide a letter from the company to support expedite request because everything is already outlined in the offer (it is conditional to me receiving my work authorization).

I don’t know what to do? Should I call USCIS again? Should I just calm down and wait? It’s so frustrating. I feel like I’m watching my life falling apart without being able to do anything.

Got email about notice (i130) but no update on the portal

AOS, marriage to USC, i130 filled May 22nd, i485 filled May 29th 2026.

My husband got an email about a notice (Jun 12th), but when we check USCIS portal there’s no update beyond an old notice (Case was Received).

I also got an email about a notice (also Jun 12th), and on my portal there was an invitation for biometrics for i485.

We aren’t sure what to do. Has this ever happened to you?

Vent post. Crying while making a decoy nest rn.

I’m a first time homeowner. I mostly lived my whole life in apartments before moving in with my husband.
And I’m tired of wasps😭

I see paper wasps trying to build a nest on my porch/terrace EVERYDAY. Especially when it gets warmer, I have to walk around every day and knock off fresh day-old nests in different spots.

I already sprayed all possible corners with peppermint oil, I do it whenever I can. I also spray individual wasps with killer spray or the nest if I find one. And they still find new spots and build there.

Recently we also had yellow-jackets (big ones). First I saw 3 in the house, then my husband found a small nest behind the house in the electric breaker (next to outside heating units).

I genuinely don’t know what to do, I stoped using our terrace because they keep flying around and scouting for new spots.

Edit: didn’t know I’ll see so many wasp defenders here👀 Just to reiterate, I love insects and I wouldn’t mind coliving with wasps if they weren’t in a high traffic area that we use everyday!
