The final FFX2+ prototype

After several refinement cycles, the final design is complete. We’ve printed the definitive prototype and are now running the last validation tests: thermal behavior, acoustic output, and long‑term stability.

All tests are being performed with the stock cooling solution on both Bitaxe 601 and Bitaxe 801GT units.

The downloadable 3D files will consist of the FFX2+ enclosure for Bitaxe Gamma 601 and a dedicated adapter for the Bitaxe 801GT.

More updates are coming soon.

New compact dual-fan push/pull cooling system for the Bitaxe

The FFX2+ uses two fans: one at the bottom to push fresh air against the back of the Bitaxe (specifically targeting the ASIC chip and VRM positions), and a second fan on top to pull the hot air out, dramatically improving cooling efficiency and performance. Both fans are equipped with grills for protection.

We've just launched r/ForgeHashLabs! 🚀

Over the past few months, I've shared several cooling projects for Bitaxe miners here, and the feedback from this community has been incredible.

To keep everything organized, I've created r/ForgeHashLabs—a dedicated place for Bitaxe enthusiasts to:

🛠️ Share your mining setup
🌡️ Compare temperatures and cooling solutions
⚡ Discuss overclocking and performance
🖨️ Show your 3D printed projects
💡 Exchange ideas and help shape future designs

Whether you're running a completely stock Bitaxe or a heavily modified one, everyone is welcome.

Come introduce yourself, share your setup, and help us build a community focused on innovation and better cooling for Bitaxe miners.

See you there! ⛏️

Summer is here. Is your Bitaxe ready? ☀️🔥

Even at stock settings, high ambient temperatures can push ASIC and VRM temperatures much higher than expected.

FFX1 is a compact rear cooling add-on for the Bitaxe Gamma 601 that works alongside the stock front heatsink and fan, helping reduce heat buildup where it matters most.

Whether you overclock or not, keeping your miner cooler means better stability and less thermal stress.

The FFX1 STL files are now available at https://forgehashlabs.com/

Protect your Bitaxe this summer. 🌡️⛏️

Who said better cooling has to be big? 👀

The FFX1 is our first compact rear cooler for the Bitaxe Gamma 601.

Tiny footprint. Serious airflow. 🧊⛏️🌬️

FFX1 release this Sunday 🚀

After several days of testing, the FFX1 rear cooling system for Bitaxe Gamma 601 is ready.

Even with ambient temperatures between 28-32°C, OC tests have been very promising.

STL files will be available on the ForgeHashLabs website this Sunday with

full thermal data and benchmarks.

Something new is coming to the Bitaxe ecosystem.

Smaller. Simpler. More affordable.

Designed for miners who want extra cooling performance without the size of the FFX2.

More soon.

FFX1 is officially in the printer. 👀

Many asked for a smaller and more affordable alternative to the FFX2... so we started working on one. 👀

Meet the FFX1 for Bitaxe Gamma.

✔ Compact design

✔ Rear-side PCB cooling

✔ Designed to complement the stock cooling system

Like the FFX2, the FFX1 focuses on backside cooling to help improve thermal performance and overclocking stability.

First prototype printing now. Testing starts tomorrow. 🔥⛏️

FFX2 x Bitaxe GT — first live test video 🔥

Today was the first real-world test fit of the new FFX2 GT adapter system, and seeing the Bitaxe GT mounted on the FFX2 platform for the first time was honestly a massive moment for the project. Our plan from the start was not to create disposable versions for every Bitaxe generation.

The GT adapter prototype is already fitting surprisingly well, and now the next phase begins:

-thermal validation

-airflow testing

-overclock stability

-long-duration mining tests

As promised, the GT adapter will be released free for all FFX2 users.

This means current FFX2 owners will be able to transition from the Gamma into the GT ecosystem without replacing the entire cooling platform.

The project is evolving fast now 👀

More benchmarks, temperatures, and testing videos coming very soon.

First live fit test of the FFX2 GT adapter on the Bitaxe GT series 🔥

The new GT unit arrived today, and I immediately started testing the first printed adapter prototype with the FFX2 platform.

Seeing the Gamma-based FFX2 architecture physically supporting the GT series for the first time is honestly a huge milestone for the project.

What makes this approach special is that existing FFX2 users will NOT need to buy an entirely new cooling system.

Instead:

✔ One FFX2 platform

✔ One free GT adapter

✔ Support for multiple Bitaxe generations

The adapter system is designed to keep the original philosophy intact:

- preserve the stock front cooling

- improve rear PCB airflow

- support higher stability during overclocking

- stay modular and community-friendly

Fitment is already looking extremely promising 👀

And yes:

the GT adapter files will be released completely FREE to the community for all existing FFX2 users.

If you’ve been waiting to build a GT setup, now might be the perfect time to jump into the FFX2 ecosystem.

More thermal tests and benchmark data coming soon.

Small ForgeHashLabs update.

Over the past few weeks, the FFX2 project has grown much faster than expected, so we’ve started building proper infrastructure around it rather than treating it as just a cooling mod.

Today, we finished the first version of the ForgeHash Labs development list page for:

• FFX2 updates

• GT adapter progress

• thermal benchmarks

• STL releases

• future cooling projects

The goal is to keep everything community-focused and to properly document the development process as the project evolves.

If anyone wants to follow the project more closely or get early access to future updates and releases, you can now join the ForgeHash Labs development list directly on the website.

There’s still a lot to improve, but it’s exciting to see this slowly turning into a real platform around Bitaxe cooling and solo mining experimentation.

Thanks again to everyone supporting the project so far — the feedback from this community has genuinely helped shape the direction of FFX2.

FFX2 GT Adapter — let's test the first prototype 🔧

This small part is an important step for the FFX2 platform: instead of creating a completely separate version, the goal is to extend compatibility through a modular adapter system.

Same FFX2 airflow concept.

Now evolving toward the GT line.

Still early-stage, but it’s great to finally see the design becoming a real part instead of just CAD on a screen.

Next step: test fitting on the GT hardware and validating airflow alignment 👀

More updates soon.
