Passed 4th time!!!!!!

Passed 4th time!!!!!!

I just wanted to come and say don’t give up!

I’ve had 4 tests between August and now and each time I failed on the road back to the test centre because I couldn’t hold my nerve.

today I convinced myself I failed before I even got in the car and just drove as well as I could to away some anxiety.

thankfully I got lucky this time with the nicest examiner (Shout out Phil 🩷)

so happy that I no longer have the cost of lessons looming over me.

just wanted to say don’t give up don’t be deterred from fails just keep going xxx

Crazy Adoption Story…

So… I’ve never had a cat before and wasn’t planning on getting one. However, one of my employees begged me to take their sister’s cat because she’s just had a baby and apparently couldn’t look after her anymore. I agreed and went to collect her.

They gave me everything for free - food, litter, carrier, flea tablets, etc. But when I got her home, I realised she had fleas. I immediately gave her a bath, a flea tablet, and applied Frontline.

I’m trying to register her with a vet ASAP, but the previous owner still hasn’t told me which vet she was registered with. The practice I’ve contacted has said they need her previous veterinary details before they can access her records or continue treatment.

I’ve also been told she hasn’t been spayed because the previous owner “wanted to breed her.” Then, after I’d taken this cat home, my employee sent me a video of a blue-eyed short-haired kitten that had supposedly “appeared” in her garden. That made me suspicious. I can’t help wondering if they’re actually breeding cats and this little girl couldn’t be bred for some reason, so they just wanted rid of her. None of it really adds up, and the more I think about it, the more frustrated I get.

I have children, and although I don’t regret taking her in because she’s genuinely the sweetest little thing, I just can’t understand why anyone would hand over a cat covered in fleas. It seems so irresponsible.

She also seems really skinny. I’ve been feeding her well since bringing her home. They told me she’s one year old, but to me she looks younger.

For those of you with more cat experience:

  • Does any of this sound odd to you?
  • What should I do if they won’t give me the details of her previous vet?
  • And based on your experience, does she sound like she could actually be younger than one?
  • Any advice for caring for my new addition
