Cervelo 105 Help

I’m about to pull the trigger on a Cervélo Caledonia 105 mechanical as my first road bike, but I’m still tempted by Di2 for about $1,200 more.

I’m very much a casual rider. Realistically, I’ll ride on weekends, usually no more than 90 minutes at a time. The pavement where I ride isn’t always great either.
One thing actually pushing me away from Di2 is having another thing I need to remember to charge. It sounds minor, but knowing myself, that could genuinely make me ride less.

Most opinions I’ve read seem to be: you don’t need electronic shifting, but once you have it, you’ll want it and probably never go back to mechanical. But I also wonder if that advice mostly comes from people doing long rides and putting serious hours on their bikes.

For someone riding as little as I will, is Di2 actually worth another $1,200? Or am I better off getting the mechanical 105 and spending that money on other things?
