Between the time my grandparents and parents were born, the world population grew by only half a billion people, to ~2.5 billion people. But between my parents and me, the population doubled to over 5 billion. Now it’s over 8 billion, literally 4x what it was for my grandparents.
I think about this a lot and sometimes even find it a bit overwhelming. Our experience of the world has changed so much in just a century. It makes me wonder if it’s even possible to experience solitude in the same way that people could 100-200 years ago.

* helps LGBTQ (identifies as bi but only dates men)
* helps with self-acceptance (literally a bully)
