Self Promo Saturday: Into the Unknown

Hi everyone, my name is Adam Fox and I just published my first novel, Into the Unknown. My author name is A.G. Fox if you are looking to find it. This is such a huge step for me and I wanted to share something I’m so proud of with everybody and I hope you’ll give it a chance.

I had the first post taken down so I hope I have everything fixed. This is my first time doing Self Promotional Saturdays.

I lived in this world for two years. It means a lot to me and it will always be in my heart. My biggest dream is that the people who read this get to experience that wonder for exploration and the love for the unexplained all over again, just like I did.

Into the Unknown is a science fiction adventure that blends elements from many different genres into a journey that is unforgettable.

The story follows two scientists, George and Fiona, working on a government research project in Antarctica. When they discover something impossible, they’re suddenly thrust into a new universe. Their search for a way home quickly turns into something much bigger as they become caught in conflicts they never expected. Strange alien civilizations, creatures that defy logic, and ancient mysteries await them at every turn. But the deeper they venture into the unknown, the more they begin to question why they were brought there in the first place.

I had so much fun creating the world for this book. From strange alien civilizations to planets that each have their own unique identity and culture, I wanted every place to feel alive. But more than anything, I think the characters are what make the story special. One of them is absolutely unhinged, and I honestly have a difficult time writing her dialogue without chuckling.

Into the Unknown is available now on Amazon in ebook format. It’s also enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, so subscribers can read it at no additional cost.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I would be happy to hear from anybody who has a question about the universe I built or anything else. If you decide to join George and Fiona on their journey, I truly hope you enjoy the adventure. 😊

The link is in my bio if anybody is interested in checking it out.

The greatest plot holes for the greatest sci-fi shows

What’s a plot hole in an otherwise near-perfect sci-fi show that you can never ignore?

Every great sci-fi series seems to have that one moment where the logic falls apart.
I’m not talking about shows that are full of inconsistencies—I mean a series you genuinely love that has one plot hole you notice every time you watch it.

What is it, and did it affect your enjoyment of the show?

For me, I always try to ignore it, but the Alliance is incredibly powerful. They can monitor an entire star system and hunt River Tam endlessly, yet the crew of Serenity are free to dock anywhere using their names and not get caught unless plot requires it.

I’m looking for a specific Sci-Fi show.

Update: I found the show. It was Dark Matter (2015). I looked it up and saw a new cast and was confused. 😅

The show is like Firefly in that they have a ragtag crew in space and they even have a stow away. A girl who hitched a ride. I think it might even star Adam Baldwin too. 😂 I remember that in a later season there was some conflict with an alien planet and they were blamed for an assassination attempt. The show was so amazing and I don’t think I ever finished it and want to start it again.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

What does everybody think of this series? Personally, I think it was really getting into a very interesting perspective, but unfortunately it was cancelled. I would have loved to see more of what they do with Cameron and John Connor. To leave off on a cliffhanger is such a crime. 😩
