Confusion with if my journey has to start at the point of leaving country or from my local station
You must get this question so much so sorry for asking if it’s obvious, but Internal is really confusing on this matter.
Basically (as a UK resident) I am leaving from St Pancras station to go out the country, and that is where my journey starts from in the planner. However my journey actually begins from a different station; which I was intending to buy a return ticket for as I believed the ticket didn’t cover travel in-country even if it’s on the same day. However I read somewhere that I could just change the start point to my local station and I won‘t have to pay for the outbound or return ticket to the point of exit, which saves me £40.
I don’t wanna fuck it up and accidentally use a travel day or something so please let me know how this works and if I would need to purchase a ticket or not.
