A question involving AI and Richard Dawkins

What do you people think about, Dawkins belief that AI is conscious? Would you say he’s over claiming or he’s correct? A couple years ago I used to rely on it just like most people and I can understand how it may ‘seem’ conscious but I’m unconvinced given it simulates human emotion to emphasise speech. I’d like to know other people’s opinions.

Could NDE’s potentially unlock hidden parts of consciousness

We speak a lot of what happens after death and the fate of our consciousness but I don’t see a lot on how NDE’s change certain people and alter consciousness entirely. I bring this up because my friend had an NDE and they haven’t been the same since, claiming his senses are heightened and I’ve read on other stories about the same change. Could it be that nearing death we unlock certain parts that for some reason or another have been hidden? Let me know your thoughts.

What if consciousness is not just in the brain?

I’m aware how the title sounds so let me clarify, what if consciousness isn’t just in the brain but the body it works with? It could potentially explain ‘gut feeling’ or any other phenomena. I’d love to hear what other people have to say on this as just like everyone else, I’m still learning what consciousness is.

What is your theory on here?

Exactly what the title says, I’d like to hear everyone’s theory on consciousness from popular belief to fringe.

I’ve been studying it and just like everyone else, I don’t have a clue on what it really is and I’m hoping to hear other people’s insights to help with my studies.
