Take Profit Trader cut the eval from 5 days to 3 — plus 50% off and no activation fee this week. Details + fine print inside.

Quick heads up for anyone in here trading or considering a prop firm account.

Take Profit Trader officially changed their eval period from 5 days to 3 days. That's permanent, not a promo — same rules, same consistency rule, no new fine print added.

To go with the change, they're running the biggest deal they've done so far, one week only:

- 50% off all eval accounts

- No activation fee, for life

The fine print (because you'll ask):

- The 3-day eval applies to NEW accounts purchased from today on. Existing evals, and any resets tied to those accounts, stay at 5 days.

Full disclosure: I'm a TPT affiliate. If you use my code it's the same price for you and it supports the community. Code: OMTPT https://takeprofittrader.com/?referralCode=OMTPT

If you've been sitting on the fence about taking a shot at a funded account, this is a good window.

Questions about the eval rules, drop them below and I'll answer what I can.

For everyone who wants to try a prop firm but doesn't want to trade futures

Prop firms have basically been a futures-only club for years, which is a

problem if options are your thing. OptionsFunding is one of the very few

that runs an actual options prop format — you define your risk before entry,

you can swing trade instead of being forced to flatten by the close, and you

can trade SPX options overnight in the London/Asia session.

That last part is the piece I think gets overlooked. Being able to hold and

manage a defined-risk options position overnight is a completely different

game than trying to scalp a funded futures account intraday.

If you want to check it out, code TOM gets you 70% off:

Has anyone here already traded a funded options account? Curious how the

rules compare to the futures firms most of you have used.

Gapping up into Fed week — trading the open live at 9:30 EST

Futures are up overnight (NQ ~1.4%, ES ~0.9%) after oil dropped more than 7% on peace-talk headlines. That's heading into a week with the Fed on Wednesday and Microsoft, Meta, Apple and Amazon all reporting. Gap-up opens before an event week are usually where I slow down rather than speed up — I'd rather miss the first move than get chopped in it.

I'll be live trading the open here: https://youtube.com/live/UtVyRv3mCz0

How are you handling gap-up opens ahead of an FOMC week — fade them, wait for the retest, or just stand down until Wednesday?

Title: Live at the open this morning — soft tape into GOOGL & TSLA earnings

Going live ~9:30am ET to trade the futures open. Futures are pulling back

premarket with NQ leading the way down, and the market feels like it's coiling

ahead of Alphabet and Tesla after the close today. Walking through the levels

I'm watching and how I'm framing a news-heavy session live.

Watch: https://www.youtube.com/@OptionsMillionaire/live

Anyone else watching NQ into those earnings? What are you stalking at the open?

Shorted NQ at 29171 this morning, covered at 29060 (+111 pts). Here's the full logic, including what would've made me wrong.

Sharing this morning's NQ short because the setup was about as textbook as my system gets, and writing it out keeps me honest. Numbers first: short 29171, covered 29060, +111 pts.

The setup (I use three confirmations before any entry):

https://preview.redd.it/2j5sx3y4fgeh1.png?width=1057&format=png&auto=webp&s=61e4229ac0e56e056c92f1228f9ed61972c015c4

  1. Volume inflow at the level. Price pushed into morning high resistance around 29200 and volume expanded noticeably on the test — that told me real participation was showing up there, not just drift.
  2. Rejection wick. The push above got sold hard — long upper wick on the test candle. Buyers had their shot at the high and failed.
  3. The bonus on top of my system was the HIRO tool showing dealers pumping 0dte puts.

The setup was there, so I took it. Covered into the flush at 29060 rather than hoping for a bigger unwind — the level below was starting to attract buyers and I'd rather sell strength in my exits than round-trip a winner.

What would've invalidated it: a reclaim of 29193 with volume. Stop was above the wick high, decided before entry. If it had triggered, this post would be about a ~-25pt loss instead, and I'd have posted it anyway.

The honest caveat: one trade proves nothing. This same setup will fail plenty of times — the edge only shows up across a big sample with consistent sizing.

Curious what others do for confirmation on shorts at resistance — do you wait for the structure break like I do, or enter on the wick and accept the earlier (riskier) entry for better location?

Daily live: I trade the futures open at 9:30am ET, every trading day — come hang out

Wanted to make this its own post so it's easy to find.

Every trading day I go live right before the open (~9:20am ET) and trade the

futures open in real time — mostly ES and NQ. It's not a highlight reel and

it's not a signals room. I walk through the exact levels I'm watching, the

setups as they form, and every decision out loud: why I'm in, why I'm out,

and when the right move is to just sit on my hands.

If you're newer, it's a good way to actually watch this stuff work instead of

just reading about it. If you've been burned chasing hype, it's a reset —

real risk management and honest expectations, nothing sold to you.

Chat's open the whole time, so bring questions.

See you at the bell. — OM
