I have multiple children on a competitive dance team at the same studio. They’re on different levels but they give me the same feedback. They come home from class in tears that they’re always in the back. They go full out, are talented, get along with everyone but aren’t given any chances to step up from the back line. I know there are one hundred possibilities here and I’m trying to not be biased. I know there could be discrepancies on skills, attitudes I don’t see, favoritism, etc. There are three sides to every story, right? But I am at a loss. It absolutely breaks my heart as a parent. Do I call the studio? Tell my kids to suck it up? Any suggestions?
