What if Bill Smithback wasn’t killed off?
I leaving this open for you all to answer differently,
But IMO I see it playing out in this alternate timeline where Smithback survives and is around for the events of Cemetery Dance, but would get severely injured (maybe partially paralyzed) and thus making him and Nora move to Santa Fe to leave the dangers of New York finally behind.
For the Nora/Corrie series, he would have a role just now as big as he did in the Pendergast ones because of this would-be injury. TBH, I have not fully read the Nora/Corrie series, which I know I probably should of done before posting this, so I don’t fully know to what extent how it would drastically change them, but hey what the hell
