Self help books
Why do self-help books get so much hate?
I've noticed that whenever self-help books are mentioned, many readers immediately dismiss them or look down on people who read them. I understand some of the criticisms. Some books repeat common advice, oversimplify problems, or aren't particularly deep.At the same time, I don't see why that would make someone to hate the entire genre. For many people, self-help books are a gateway into reading, personal growth, or exploring new ideas. If you've moved beyond self-help and now prefer history, philosophy, literature, science, or other genres, wouldn't it be more helpful to recommend those books rather than criticize someone for reading self-help?
eBay books
Who has ever ordered books from eBay to Kenya. Kindly share on how it works. I need to know how much it can cost it terms of shipping. Do they deliver to Nairobi or other towns in Kenya or is it just to the port? What are some of the best shipping companies to Kenya. Someone with an experience or advice on the whole procedure I can follow to help, please.
I need to share some thoughts here, it's kind of off topic but I feel like here is the "right" place to share. I always feel like everytime I'm on WhatsApp, the status being posted there really bores me and most of the time it is a place where people just read each other minds and there is nothing authentic there. unlike Reddit everything is authentic. I'm even planning on leaving WhatsApp completely.
