My First Bonsai
Hi,
I am a complete beginner from Hungary (from 7b to 8a) and received this little tree as a gift a few days ago. I would like to ask for advice from more experienced growers on how to go about caring for it, specifically for this species (Buxus) and this tree. I don't even know the exact variety of this species, maybe harlandii? I would also gladly welcome advice on what long-term options I have with it and what advanced care tasks await me. For now, I only have a general idea for the future: I want it to have a spreading, natural appearance, like a normal tree.
Some sources say it absolutely must be kept outdoors, but I live in a third-floor apartment. Is it okay to keep it indoors (I have an enclosed balcony too), or do I need to find an outdoor solution?
