Is it possible to make an optimized low-graphics version of Roblox for the PS Vita?

Is it possible to make an optimized low-graphics version of Roblox for the PS Vita?

I don’t know much about porting or game development, but I’ve been wondering about this for a while. Modern Roblox can still run on some pretty weak devices with enough optimization, like older Android phones, old iPhones, and even Amazon Fire Tablets.

For example, I found this video showing Roblox Arsenal running around 20–30 FPS on an Amazon Fire Tablet, which honestly looks playable to me:

Since the PS Vita is still capable of running a lot of impressive games and homebrew ports, would it be possible to adapt Roblox’s existing low-end Android/mobile systems to Vita hardware?

I’m not talking about full ultra graphics or perfect compatibility with every game, but maybe a heavily optimized “low graphics” version with:

  • reduced lighting/shadows
  • lower render distance
  • compressed textures
  • capped FPS
  • compatibility mainly with simpler games

I know Roblox uses Lua/Luau scripting too, and I recently saw Lua-related projects for Vita, which made me even more curious about the idea.

I’m mainly asking people with knowledge if something like this sounds technically possible, even if it would take a huge amount of work.
