is purified water okay?

I just received my moss ball in the mail, but I've been working full time so I haven't had a good chance to put water out overnight / boil mine. my mom bought purified water with added minerals and was wondering if it was ok that I use it? the mailer also suggested adding water but I read that it isn't necessary. help?

Need Advice

Hello, I really want to loose more weight, but really struggling, both physical and mentally

to start, I am a 19 year old female, I'm 5'1 and weigh around 130-135 (I used to weigh 140) I have sort of a pear shaped body, where a lot of my weight falls on my stomach and thighs, but stay skinny on my arms

I routinely work as a prep cook in a kitchen, around 35-40 hours bi-weekly (I work in a baseball park, so we have away games, those are my off weeks)

during my off week I try to hit the gym for at least an hour / hour an a half. I mainly do stairmaster for 30 minutes and walk for another 30. sometimes I do little stuff in between such as arm lifts, weights and leg lifts

I mainly think my issue when it comes to weight loss is eating, but the thing is, it feels like I barely eat 1,000 calories a day. I love to eat though, so I wanted to try a calorie deficit of 1,200 to reach my goal weight of at least 120

I've been stuck at 135 for a couple of months now and its been draining to be honest. I'm not expecting the weight to magically melt off, but I would hope to at least see some results? I don't know

if anyone has any advice on how to make my workouts more filling or effective, or any advice about my calorie deficit it would help a lot

Can Survey's Give Out Incriminating Information?

hi, basically I was invited to participate in a survey that was sent to me by one of my atrium health locations. the survey is called project MARVEL and basically studies adult adolescence, so it does ask questions about drug history, emotional and financial well-being. if the survey asks for my name and address, does that mean they could potentially feed incriminating information about me? or does that fall under patient confidentiality? yes I already submitted the survey, sorry

can survey's give out incriminating information?

hi, so basically one of my atrium health locations sent me an invite to become one of their participants in an online survey called project MARVEL, which is basically a survey given out 2 times out of the year for 2.5 years. it's a survey that studies adult adolescence so it does ask questions about drug usage, emotional state, financials ect.. basically since I am underage and the survey requires both a name and address could they potentially give that information to anyone? or does it fall under the patient confidentiality law?

extremely new, need advice!

hi y'all, so I've recently just redesigned my room and wanted to spruce it up by adding some adorable marimo's to my desk! Ive seen a lot about them online and really want to get some for myself. the only issue, I really don't know that much about them .. Ive heard that they are easy to maintain/take care of since there isn't much maintenance needed but can anyone confirm or deny if this is true? I want to give them the best care possible. I also was wondering where I would be able to buy them. I'm scared about ordering online as they look a bit dubious. as well as any other important information needed :p thanks!

everyone in her life failed her.

small rant because this has been on my mind for a couple of days

I feel nothing but sorrow for this poor girl, whos only just a bit younger than I am, but still had so much life to live. looking at all of the evidence now from the recent court hearings, it's clear that there was no one looking out for her. her parents are absolutely complicit. there's so much evidence to support that their 'efforts' to protect their daughter were too little too late. it's difficult to put myself in their shoes when there are so many things that they could have done differently. who notarizes their own daughter to fly out of the country alone? while taking the phone away did they not bother to look through it? and why didn't the school system investigate? she would have been out of school for months and nobody thought to have looked into that? D4vd's parents (more specifically his mom) are also at fault. to have so much knowledge of so much stuff and stay silent about everything is just as guilty as him committing the crime. it's also apparent that some of D4vd's friends knew about his relationship and said or did nothing. every pisspoor attempt to save this girl failed and now she's dead and nobody can even muster to take any kind of responsibility for it.

Bringing Kitchen Knife from Japan, advice?

Hey y'all, unsure of this is the subreddit for this but honestly can't find one I think fits

I bought a kitchen knife for myself in Japan but honestly didn't think about a way to bring it back. It's in it's original cardboard container, with the cover on the blade. I'm flying Air Canada to Charlotte Douglas Airport. I know that Air Canada doesn't allow it on carry-ons for obviously reasons, and I have one personal bag and one carry-on. One of my fellow travellers offered to put the knife in their checked bag, but just wondered if that was something he had to declare? or notify staff about? Thanks
