Hello. It's been almost 3 months since I adopted my Basset Hound boy, and he is a great dog. He is 2 and a half. He fits into my household perfectly, but I haven't figures out a way to play with him yet. Most of my adult life, I have owned cattle dogs. They liked to play in several different ways. Some liked to chase balls, while others liked to be chased with a toy in their mouth. Tug of war is another game they all liked to play. My Basset hasn't seemed interested in playing the same ways as my past dogs. He will kind of play tug of war but stops pretty quickly. The only way he has shown interest in playing is attempting to rough house and wrestle with me, but I dont like to encourage that kind of behavior. When he first came to our house, he would play with my 12 year old border collie mix, but they haven't been playing much lately either. He does get to go to the dog park and play with other dogs once or twice a week. I would like to fbd a way to play with him, though. Are Bassetts just not interested in playing with their people. Does anyone have any suggestions on ways to play with him?

This Friday I will be running Pirate Borg for the first time. I will be using Buried in the Bahamas to kick off a mini campaign. I was reading through the zine again, and I was wondering if there is a good adventure to use if the PCs go through the portal at Mesoan Stela on the Isle of Yuma. Or is there a generator I could roll on to come up with a location that the portal leads to? Another question I have would be what adventures would be good to use after Buried in the Bahamas? Any general advice on running Buried in the Bahamas is welcome as well.

Hello I am a new basset hound owner. Some people I know were re-homing him and knew I was looking for a dog after my blue heeler passed at a young age a few months ago. I have had him for almost two weeks now, and I couldn't have asked for a better dog. I am thinking of changing his name, but he is 2 and a half so I don't know if its a good idea. One thing I read said that it might be good to change his name because his first home was in a domestic violence situation, and the article said he could associate his current name with bad memories. I have always changed my dogs names after adopting them, but I have never had a basset hound so I was just wondering how attached to his name he could be and how difficult it would be to change it.
