Am I cooked? Passed Part 1 in May — is it too late to start Part 2 prep for the November diet?

Hi all,

I sat MRCP Part 1 in May and passed, scoring in the 570s — pretty pleased with that, my prep leading up to it went well. Problem is, I haven’t touched Part 2 prep since then, and I’m now wondering whether it’s realistic to sit the November diet.

For those who’ve done both — how much of a jump is Part 2 compared to Part 1 in terms of question style and depth? And realistically, starting from scratch now, is a ~3 month runway enough with a decent structured approach, or am I setting myself up to fail?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been in a similar position — what resources worked for you, how many hours a day/week you found sustainable alongside IMT rota commitments, and whether you’d recommend pushing to November or waiting for the next diet instead.

Thanks in advance!

Post MRCP Blues ?

Anyone else feeling weirdly empty after the MRCP papers? So many brutal 50-50s that my brain is still replaying questions hours later.

Would honestly just be nice to chat/rant/discuss how everyone found it and collectively recover from the post-MRCP blues 😅

(We don’t have to discuss the answers )

MRCP Part 1 — Was It Just Me or Were the 50/50s Brutal?

Just sat the May 2026 MRCP Part 1 and honestly found both Paper 1 and Paper 2 full of 50/50 choices between two very plausible answers. It felt like so many questions didn’t give quite enough information to confidently rule one option out, which made the whole thing pretty mind-boggling at times.

Was this a normal MRCP experience for people who’ve sat previous diets, or did this sitting feel particularly vague/unpredictable?

Currently revising for MRCP and hit that late-night slump. Don’t really feel like studying alone.

If anyone wants to just sit on Google Meet (no pressure to talk), do their own work, and keep each other company — feel free to join.
