Very very angry caique

My partner and myself slept in this morning. Went downstairs to start the day. As I went to get him he seemed very agitated! But stepped up for me and let me put him on his perch area on top of his cage, since then though whenever my partner or myself went near him he would lose his mind growling like you wouldn’t believe, only letting us pick him up/ go near him when he felt like it!! He will cuddle or approach us but the second we respond or move he will growl and lunge for a warning bite (never bit hard enough to hurt bad/ draw blood) he’s about 7-8 months and so far has NEVER acted this way, is he just being a spoilt guy and this is his way of “punishing” us? it has been cold here atm but we leave the heater on low at night so he stays warm and just overall try and keep him as comfortable as possible which probably adds to his spoilt personality. He’s just overall acting very depressed today randomly and it’s breaking my heart completely😢 never sleeping in again!!!!!!!

Picture of our son and the drawings he did on the window with his beak lmfao it looks like a 👎🏾 (proud parents)

Morning flock calls

I’ve had my 5 month old caique for about 2 months now and he flock calls early every morning, a bit too early then I’m wanting to get up. I understand they are very social and he is out of his cage 90% of the day but Is this going to last forever? Is there anything I can do that will help him chill for a bit longer?

Sometimes when I wake up and come downstairs to him he keeps flock calling until my partner comes down too lmfao, he rounds up all the humans

Obviously if this is my new normal then I’ll go to bed earlier or whatever I have to do but I do love a sleep in!!
