What do you do during thunderstorms?

So, I am terrified of lightning mostly when I'm outside. Im fine inside, unless I am touching wired electronics, or washing my hands. I dont shower during thunderstorms. Do you guys just keep vacuuming? What if there's a storm all day? Do you use a surge protector?? Its supposed to thunderstorm all week and Im so nervous. I hate walking in and out of houses with METAL supplies. I also hate driving my car in thunderstorms. I know this sounds silly but I'm so scared for the week. Idk, any advice?

Pricing help/unique situation

I am in Wisconsin and I checked out a duplex that I liked a couple months ago. The landlord seems like a great person and I was looking forward to that, because the apartments that we're renting have absolutely awful managers. He said it would be move-in ready and he knows Im a cleaner. He said his cleaner is "very detailed" Bold statement to make.

So, today is move-in day. I see the house and it's an absolute disaster. If he didn't tell me he sent someone to clean, I would have asked when he was sending the cleaner. Nothing has been done. Didnt even look like the counters or floor were cleaned.

So, it's up to me and he told me to send him the bill. I do not want to undercharge myself. I care about people and I want them to feel comfortable and clean in their home. When someone pays me to clean, I want them to get every penny worth. It felt like a huge disrespect to me that not only was it dirty, but things still needed to be fixed in the home. I work my ass off, so Im extremely disappointed and upset.

That being said, this is a 3 bed, 1 home duplex. Has a basement. Windows and tracks need to be done, cobwebs, inside all cabinets, needs a good scrub down. This is not considered a rework, because Im telling you, NOTHING had been touched. I have a hard time pricing move-outs. This is also the SECOND time in a row that this has happened. The apartment we moved into had barely been cleaned.

Thank you for reading and any advice. This has really rocked my world today.
