When I first shaved yesterday it looked pretty clean but when I woke up today most of it was back. How do I go about getting rid of this is that I have such easy access to my scalp?

My hair is receding a lot in the front there’s not much I can do about that but please let me know any other things I can do to help w this lingering feeling of choppedness
