I want to send a gentle reminder to everyone to take a deep breath. It all seems pretty overwhelming right now. I get it. I want you to remember something, though.
We got through January. We got through February. It all seemed *very* hopeless for those couple of months, and this regime was very much trying to muddy the waters every way they could.
This is the MAGA playbook. Suck the hope out of everything they possibly can. Vance gets off of it, so does Miller, so does Hegseth, so do dozens of others who currently have voices. But guess what. One day, they will scream and nobody will hear them. Every day, while things continue to flood and combine, people realize how full of shit these people are. We get angrier, we fight more, and guess what - we win more.
Take 24 hours away from here, and remind yourself of the good in the world. There’s a lot of it. Focus on the wins. Focus on the future. Focus on the fact - repeat - FACT - that better days will come.
Man, did I love everything about this interview. Durzi is fascinating to listen to. I was captivated the entire time. Seems like a real team leader. Hope he’s here for many years to come!
I know it hurts right now, and I know there are some improvements that need to happen. But the team succeeded and grew a lot. Getting to where we are has earned the Coach a year to improve and get better, and I guarantee you GMBA is going to go that route. I’m already seeing the “Fire Bear” posts and I’m telling you, it’s not gonna happen, nor should it. He can improve in some areas but he certainly did not fail.
I will hear arguments, though, for whoever is specifically in charge of the special teams. Fire that coach into the sun.
