How on earth is the Apple Watch Spotify app still this bad?
I use my Apple Watch primarily for workouts. Every 3-4 months or so I’m somewhere where I’d like to go on longer runs without my phone and in places without cell service, so I (try to) download podcasts or new music to my Apple Watch using Spotify.
For years, the same issues have persisted: taking forever to download, requiring unpairing the watch, deleting Spotify off the watch, redownloading it, losing all previous downloads, connecting headphones again, etc. Of course for whatever reason you need the phone to do all of this, so nothing can be troubleshooted on the go even with a watch with a cellular plan. Then if you’re finally able to get anything downloaded, you cannot scrub within a podcast, change podcast speed, or queue up songs.
I understand this is more of a Spotify issue than a WatchOS issue, but wtf?? how is it possibly this horrible of a UX to do basic streaming audio stuff? we’ve had all this on iPhone for 15 years.
