Pls help my grandmother has been referred to Siliguri NBMCH
My grandmother has had heart issues for the past few years. Today she suddenly developed heavy sweating, chest discomfort, and other symptoms that seemed similar to a heart attack. We took her to our local government hospital, and after initial treatment they referred her to NBMCH Siliguri for a higher cardiology opinion.
The referral mentions HOCM and possible valve blockage/obstruction (not complete blockage according to the local drs). They said she is stable for now, but I’m still very worried.But also told not to keep her at home today at all immediately to take her to Siliguri.
How good is the Cardiology Department at NBMCH for emergency heart cases,if I go will they examine today itself ( my biggest qs)?
Do they properly handle urgent referrals/emergency cardiac patients?
Should we directly go to NBMCH, or would it be better to take her to another hospital in Siliguri?
Any honest advice or recent experiences would really help. Thank you.
