Specialization Help Needed

Just got a email today that there is a new combined major of computer science and neuroscience. What a great timing! A week before choosing specializations. I do think combined major is the better option. However, I am really stuck between neuro or cpsc+neuro, so any help/opinions will be appreciated.

All the first year courses that I already took are for the traditional neuroscience major, which 4 of the courses are not required by the new combined major. I am also missing math 101 and cpsc 121 (not required to apply for specialization). Not to mention I am currently taking chem 233 which also not required by cpsc+neuro.

I am considering applying for the new combined major despite setting myself back in terms of graduation progress, because I feel like cs and neuro makes a really great combination, neuroscience alone is probably just a med school path (probably quite useless on its own) and also because I really enjoyed cpsc 110 and thought I had a talent in cs.

On the other hand, I am feeling so bad to having these courses that I took go to waste. The course selections are also messed up because I didn't take math101 and cpsc 121, I literally had a headache trying to plan courses if I were to be in cpsc+neuro. Additionally, I have no prior experience in cs other than cpsc 110, so I don't know how comparitive is my "talent" compared to people that have been coding since they were 6. A friend also told me to stay away from combined majors because students end up "rushing" each major.

Really wish I knew this new combined major was gonna be a thing. I would've picked totally different courses.

Anyways, thank you for reading this, and thanks for any advice.
