Been using Anna's Archive for years now, but I haven't been keeping up with if there's anything new/better out there.

It's been bugging me for years. I remember a series of books that I had, which were essentially Goosebumps knock offs. One book in particular I want to read again.

All of the following im only 80% sure about

The covers featured a red slime. Maybe a glowing red slime. Might have been orange, or nowhere near that color at all.

Creature was individual slime/s, I dont think it was some gigantic flowing mass.

It was in Nevada or Mexico, somewhere hot and arid.

I remember ether the title or the creature had the word "derro" or "dwarro" or something in its name. Google hasn't helped me with this.

The slime creature was somehow effected by electricity. It either ate electricity, was harmed by it, or effected electricity when it was near?

That's all I can remember, and I might be conflating memories? I must be, if google can't seem to figure it out.
