Hey everyone,

I'm a recent Architectural Engineering graduate from Egypt, and I'm currently working as an Interior Designer.

Lately, I've been feeling a bit frustrated with the local market. A lot of the projects here seem very traditional, and many designs end up looking similar. There isn't always much room for creativity or experimenting with new ideas. The market also feels pretty slow right now.

Because of that, I've been thinking about opportunities outside Egypt, especially in the United States.

How realistic is it for someone with my background to find a job in the U.S. as an Interior Designer? For those who have experience in the industry, what skills, qualifications, or level of experience would employers typically expect from an international candidate?

I'm also curious about remote work. Is it common for U.S.-based interior design firms to hire designers remotely from other countries? Would it be easier to work remotely from Egypt rather than trying to relocate right away?

I'd love to hear from anyone who has gone through a similar experience or has insight into the current job market.

Thanks in advance!
