Finished Reading Animal Farm by George Orwell
A classic but screams reality so much these days in our country. It all started as the animals revolt against their abusive farm owner and then someone ambitious decided to take advantage of the independence. The power just grew by feeding off propagandas or gaslighting as what we call it nowadays. The animals' ignorance (some of them learned to read but some remained illiterate) made it easier to manipulate them like how corrupt politicians control the poor. I love how the ending symbolizes that the dictator became a reflection of the enemy they once fought.
Thinking from all these corruption, hypocrisy, and blatant lying from politicians could either bring about a new revolution or a new dictator. The question is when? 🧐
