Finally got him. He will live sealed in my display till the end of my days
I was pumped for this guy, but after seeing at the QC issues people have been having, it’s not worth it. He’ll live in my display sealed
What is it about more articulation that you like
If it’s a spiderman figure, then load it up with articulation, but I don’t know if I personally need my Mick Foley to have buttterfly joints and a ball waist. This has been leading me to question whether or not i personally need ultimate figures or even some elites, attire aside. I wouldn’t mind spending a little less on wrestling if it meant spending more on other lines. And that has made me wonder, what do we as collectors even need from our wrestling figures? Most of the time I see someone post their collection, their figures are standing straight up in a vanilla pose. Maybe with their arms raised like a Cody or an Orton. But seemingly, people don’t really pose their wrestling figures the same way people pose other toy lines. So what is it that we as collectors really need from our figures
Found these guys for $5
Local comic shop had these in a bag for $5. Couldn’t pass them up
Thoughts on SDCC Invincible
As everyone knows, the sdcc drops happened today. Congrats to those who got them, I’m sorry to those that didn’t. But I wanted to give my thoughts, maybe unpopular ones, because I’m seeing some stuff that imo, doesn’t seem right.
I want to say, I really feel for everyone who couldn’t get what they wanted or anything at all. You have every right to feel disappointed and upset. Especially seeing people throwing them on eBay for stupid prices. It’s okay to be upset. I had akuma in my cart and the bag was no secured. I feel your pain.
I’ve seen a lot of people say Battle Damaged blue suit Invincible shouldn’t have been the exclusive. Imo, he is the perfect exclusive. It’s a variant of a character we are already getting, and it’s a variant of a costume that the general consumer is not going to be as interested in. Most people who collect this line are going to want a yellow suit invincible. Then a blue suit invincible. Then maybe a battle damaged yellow suit invincible (which we are most likely going to get), THEN, after all those other versions, at the bottom of most people’s wish lists, battle damaged blue suit invincible. This is how you do exclusives. What you don’t do, is lock a new character behind an exclusive. Imagine us getting Omni man as an sdcc exclusive. That is what you do not do. Jada did it right
As I said, I know it sucks not being able to get what you want. It really does. But convention exclusives should have some level of, well, exclusivity to them. Especially an SDCC exclusive. Imo, they should not be for everyone. There should be some level of it being hard to obtain. If not, then what’s the point of it being an exclusive, just make it a general release. I’m very happy that wave 1 is still available for pre order for anyone who wants it. That’s how general releases should be handled. General release preorders should not be selling out in minutes. For an exclusive though, especially for one of the hottest properties in current times, I feel like that’s not really the worst thing.
Finally, I don’t know what Jada could’ve done here. Maybe they should’ve never let people add them into their carts once they sold out. Maybe they could’ve done something different here. But I feel like no matter what, someone’s going to get the short end of the stick here. There’s no way for Jada to know who’s going to resell them. There’s no way for Jada to stop bots 100%. Tbh, as far as sdcc exclusives go, their servers handled it pretty well. I had a worse time trying to preorder non exclusives on BBTS. I don’t think there’s much they could’ve done differently in a better way that’s realistic.
I’m really happy Mattel has the license
Fresh out the box. I found this guy for a decent price too
