Think I'm going to try to introduce my 7 year old to BJJ myself(!)

So my son just turned 7 and has been showing a lot of interest in BJJ. I'm a hobbyist blue belt, training pretty regularly a few times a week for about 5 years. So I'm not a total novice but of course I have lots to learn and still have a lot of flaws.

The issue is, between all of life's other stuff, we just can't get him to the classes. I love how interested he is and think there is loads he could get out of it. In a year or two he would be able to go in the older age group class, which I *think* I will be able to get him to because of the later time.

I was thinking of getting a mat and teaching him myself at home in the meantime, starting with breakfalls/shrimping/etc and some fundamental basics and just having fun rolling around together.

Does anybody have any advice on this, please? Are there potential negatives to this that I haven't thought of? Does anyone know of any resources or tips on an approach to teaching the basics/teaching BJJ to kids?
