Theory] Mymo just gave us the blueprint to crack Gachiakuta's biggest end-game mystery.
[
Yo guys, I’ve recently discovered gachiakuta watched the anime and read the whole existing chapters and
Although I am not a huge fan of bringing up theories but due to the depth I've found in the plot I've found myself trying to link the dots to get a plausible explanation.
just connected some massive dots that completely changes how we look at Canis Surebrec and the sky barrier. Everyone is talking about Mymo’s crazy transformation, but I haven't seen anyone use it to explain the actual end-game rules of the sky.
Hear me out on this, because it actually makes the whole story so much deeper:
- Canis's Forced Evolution: A Desperate Attempt at Ultimate Power
Two hundred years ago, Canis and his fellow Apostles went to stop a catastrophic war between humans and the "Gods" (the Sphere elite). It ended in a horrific massacre. With his comrades being wiped out around him, Canis made a desperate, ultimate gamble to gain enough power to defeat the elite. He overloaded his Jinki by wielding all six original Watchman items at once, forcing his body to evolve. As foreshadowed by Mymo's vital instrument transformation, overloading that much Anima allows a human to shed their flesh and transcend into a god-like cosmic entity.
- The Sentence: Defeat and the Watchman Entity
Despite this terrifying power-up, Canis was ultimately defeated by the victorious elites. As the ultimate punishment, they used his new ascended form against him, sentencing him to spend eternity as the sky barrier itself. He was forced to become the literal celestial guard dog of the sky.
This aligns perfectly with his surname. Surebrec spelled backward is Cerberus, the mythical hound guarding the gates of the Underworld. Like Cerberus, Canis was trapped at the gate, bound by his captors to ensure the two realms stay completely separated.
- The Tragic Resignation: "All I Can Do Is Bury Them"
This gives a heartbreaking meaning to Canis’s cryptic message. When Canis sorrowfully wrote, "all I can do is bury them," so he was thinking to eliminate the sphere noble elite but when he failed he became the guardian that sepeated the two worlds, he wasn't speaking out of malice. He was expressing his absolute, painful resignation . Because he was defeated and bound to the sky, he is forced by his sentence to strike down and "bury" anyone who tries to cross the boundary, strictly to prevent another catastrophic war from resetting humanity.
- The "Angel" Loophole: A Corrupt Political Compromise
Because the barrier was part of the political settlement after this skirmish against them, the Sphere's ruling elites demanded a catch: a limited transit loophole. The elites granted their high-tier agents access to pass through the barrier safely to monitor the Ground and maintain control.
This gives the term "Angel" a terrifyingly deep meaning based on Amo's backstory:
Amo's Perspective: To an isolated and traumatized Ground dweller like Amo, a mysterious agent like Tamsy who could fly into heaven looked like a literal divine savior—an "Angel."
The Dark Reality: In reality, they are just ruthless black-ops spies sent by the corrupt elite to suppress the Ground, manage the "trash" system, and ensure that the secret of the sky's prison is never exposed.
- The Final Wish: "Live Happily"
Canis knew that if his descendants gave in to hatred and revenge (like the Vandals), they would use the Watchman items to blindly smash the sky barrier. This would break his sentence but instantly unleash the genocidal "Greater War" he was forced to hold back. This is exactly why he begged his descendants to "live happily." He wanted them to stay away from the sky and find peace, rather than walking into a trap of mutual annihilation.
- The True Hero’s Path: Rudo’s Surgical Strike
This cements Rudo as the true main protagonist who will achieve what Canis couldn't. Instead of a full-scale world war (the Vandals' reckless method), Rudo’s approach will be surgical. He will target and eliminate the specific corrupt elite figures who brainwash the masses and profit from this system. Since the ordinary people of both sides are just victims, Rudo won't destroy the worlds. By removing the cancer at the top, Rudo can use his Watchman gloves to safely dissolve the barrier, free his ancestor from his eternal sentence, and heal the world peacefully.
Anyway, sorry for the long read but I just had to get this out of my head lol. Let me know what you guys think, does this make sense or am I reaching too far?
