One of my favorite beers is Miller High Life. Just recently, I found out that Miller Genuine Draft is still made, and in a lot of ways I find it to be better than High Life.

Of course, everyone knows about Miller Lite, but why is there no so-called original beer on the market called “Miller?”

Bud Light has Budweiser, Busch Light has Busch Beer, Coors Light has Coors Banquet (which is called Coors Original in some countries) but there is no original Miller? I know some refer to High Life as the original Miller, but I’ve also heard that for a while there was a beer called “Miller Beer” which has been discontinued. Can a beer historian please enlighten me to the mystery of the seemingly missing “Miller?”
