Annoyed with unpaid trial lessons
So i had a student book a trial lesson (50min) and, in the beginning, i asked about their goals etc (normal stuff for a trial). The conversation then became about various topics, discussions about our cultures etc and the student was a c1/c2 level so i assumed it was a situation where they simply wanted a native speaker to conversate with as i have had some students like that. At the end of the lesson, however, he asked for my instagram and proceeded to tell me he wouldn’t subscribe and would actually be deleting his account as he never wanted to learn English with Preply, he only wanted to talk with Polish women to understand how they act because his ex was Polish and she hurt him (I’m not even Polish…). So there’s an hour of my life i won’t get back and i don’t even get a student out of it. He deleted his account right after the lesson so i couldn’t report him or anything either. It’s extremely frustrating and unfair
