So I just interviewed with these two actuaries in a company who are responsible for recrutement. I have already met them in 2026 ASNA and had coffee chat there hence they do somewhat know about me. I have been keeping touched with one of them the whole time. 60% of the questions they asked are about my current internship and the other 40% are some very general ones like why you want to work here and where you see yourself in five years. I am not sure whether it’s a good thing or bad thing.

I am sitting for ALTAM next month, and I wish to learn from your past experience. If I could avoid the mistakes or bad strategies you applied before that would be very helpful, thank you for sharing!

I see that 2027 recruitment has begun and it pains me that my 2.68 CGPA will make online application almost meaningless for me. 95% of the companies require transcript submission now, hence I wonder is hard GPA cutoff being wildly applied now? I received an internship offer and will use ACT391 to maintain my full time student status for the fall semester. Yet for the winter semester I may have to return to school, hence what is the minimum credits required for a single semester to keep my full time student status? Hi all, just received an interview invitation, can anyone who has interviewed with American National Actuary give me a sense of what kind of questions I should expect?

I am going for this October sitting and it's finally time to make a decision. When I was studying for FAM, I found short term material interesting and also a bit easier, while long term material requires a lot of memorization and I always faced them with stress. The table was turned when I stepped into the testing center. I guessed on 7 out of 34 questions, and 5 of them are short term. It is true that the ever-changing short term questions are not as easy as they appear to be. Now I am reading the solutions of past ALTAM, ASTAM and similarly, ASTAM seems to be easier and ALTAM really intimidates me. I don't know which one to pick now. Am I supposed to choose the "easy" but instable ASTAM or difficult but stable ALTAM?

Will you transform severity? Is it acceptable to transform a target variable?

I am not trying to get answers here, I just wanna know whether the extreme cases, unusual scores I obtained from running the code is normal. I believe the dataset is synthetic, yet some scores I obtained are just absurd. Can anyone who has passed this module let me know about their experience?

If I mess with these exercises will they fail my module eventually?
