Moving from name brand to compounded
I have been on Zepbound for almost 2 years (A few pics from my journey). It changed my life and I have lost 150lbs, and would like to lose 20 more to get to a healthy BMI . HW 315, CW 165. My doctor has said I will need this medication long term. About a month ago my insurance said they will no longer cover it. I was on 15mg for about 2 months, and my last dose was on April 29th Currently it is in appeals but that will take at least another 30 days. Zepbound has changed my life...but I can't afford the out of pocket cost for name brand. I am currently investigating all of my options and looking at companies that offer compounded...cost, pharmacies, oversight, support, etc. obviously cost is a huge factor but I want to be sure I am going with a reputable provider and getting quality medication and support. I have been slowly going through the companies in the pinned posts. Google searching and doing all the things. What is the best advice you can give to a newbie to compounded medication? What companies should be avoided at all costs? So much information and I feel lost 😞
