Hoarder tenants left a gun??

Location: Ohio

My spouse is military, so we decided to rent out our home in Ohio since there's a good chance we'd be back at some point. Our tenants turned out to be full on hoarders and have destroyed our home. I'm devastated and know we're already looking at thousands in terms of damages and repairs, but among the photos the property manager took of our poor home, the tenants appear to have left a rifle in a shadow box with an old military uniform. What on earth do we do with a gun left on our property? We're unable to travel there at the moment, as we just had a baby. Do we let the property managers handle it? Do we call the police and have PM or a local family member let the cops in to retrieve and dispose of it? We have to start clearing the home and repairing things asap in order to bill the former tenants, but I want nothing to do with the liability of a firearm that doesn't belong to us.

Ticket for obscured plate on a vehicle not registered in VA?

My spouse and I were pulled over while at a stoplight for the dealership plate on our vehicle. Apparently it obscured the state name. We are Ohio residents and the officer said he could tell it was an Ohio plate, but told us because we're in Virginia, we need to abide by their traffic laws. We're not residents, so we obviously don't know Virginia's highly specific traffic laws. I've definitely seen Virginia plates with borders, but the officer said it's illegal...

We were issued a ticket and given a court date a few. Afterward, we noticed the officer put the wrong year and make of the vehicle on the citation. The plate number is correct and registration unexpired.

Maybe it's just the pregnancy hormones, but I think it's absolutely bonkers to issue a ticket over this rather than just letting us remove the border, especially given the fact that we are from out of state. Is this still a valid ticket with the vehicle information being incorrect aside from the plate number? Do we really have to come to the county's court with our newborn to contest this and show that we took the dealership border off a vehicle that's not even registered here?
