Is this normal? both directions

This weekend I took a short trip (35 miles each way) and noticed I burned about 37% on the way up (1k ft elevation gain) and 22% on the way down. But while going around 60-70 on a section of freeway I saw my SOC dip 5% from 40 -> 35% then rebound back to 40 once the road leveled out. Is that a sign of battery issues or is it typical of the leaf? it's a 21' SV. Unfortunately my leafspy wasn't connected at the time.
