my lil nyrb collection

just wanted to share my small but growing collection :) i admit i still haven’t read any of these yet as i’m still finishing other books from tbr, but i’m really hoping to start either stoner or fair play soon! i also wanna get stefan zweig’s and magda szabó’s nyrb titles but unfortunately they’re very hard to come by where i live (maybe one day though)!

which one/s do you guys think i should read first? your thoughts and any other recommendations besides these are very much welcome! 🤗

difference/s between these editions of letters to a young poet??

hi all! i'm sorry if this is a silly question, but i was just wondering if any of you know the differences between these editions of rilke's letters to a young poet? i saw that the penguin classics ed. on the left has an introduction while the little black doesn't, but are there other differences besides that? also, it'd be nice if someone could tell me which one has better (and thicker?) page quality :') thank you so much and i would really appreciate any response!

please help me choose which ones to buy!

hi all! i was just wondering if any of you read any of these titles? the bookstore near me is having a sale right now and sadly my budget only allows for one (or two) right now lol.

i was originally leaning toward "tristana" since it's been recommended by one of the booktokers whose taste i really trust haha and "last words from montmartre" because i already have "notes of a crocodile" and really liked it!

but then i realized most of my nyrbs are kind of dark/heavy both in vibe and appearance?? (so many green and dark blue spines!!)

(besides notes of a crocodile, i only have gold by rumi, three summers by margarita liberaki, and stoner by john williams)

and part of me wants something a little lighter or different, which is making me consider "grand hotel" or "good behaviour". not to judge books by their covers, but i genuinely adore their covers!

if you could only buy or read two from these four, which would you pick and why? i would love and appreciate hearing anyone's thoughts or opinions!! thank YOU so much :)
