Hi, I have Luuk S0R0, no Denia yet and Mornye is already taken by Ameath and Lucy teams. So my question:

Is Denia alone enough for unlocking at least half of Luuk potential and be able to get 5k points in Matrix?

Currently I get 4K points with LuukS0R0 Sanhua VerinaS2.

So, will Denia S0R0 make my luuk get over 5k points? (On general buff). I don't need him for ToA but would be fun to also be able to clear floor 1/2 in middle tower I guess. Although I got plenty of much better teams already. My Luuk team is just a very low investment team for Matrix.

I looked at the leaked resonance chain of Qingxiao and Jingran and found out interesting similarity - both characters have Heavy Attacks and their first 3 resonances mostly increases Heavy attacks. Yes part Qingxiao is liberation damage, but her other half of dmg is Heavy (based on early testing and may change).

So this is my theory - one of the new secret characters (just like Hiyuki or Denia who were not shown at first region drip market) might be a subDps with two modes - Shield Amp and Tune Strain. One subDps for both Jingran and Qingxiao since they both share heavy.Atk.

Does it make sense or am I completely insane?

Hello, I was wondering if there is any information about potential new BiS for Qingxiao instead of Denia? I have Luuk Denia team and while sure I can use him as F2P with Sanhua for now, I don't like sharing teammates. Would be great to get new subDps for her, just like Jingran will get his own BiS eventually.

Any leaks suggesting a possibility of new BiS for her?

Is Iuno S2 working on Jingran?

Her S2 gives 40% all dmg amp which is insane good, but only works on her and Augusta, since you need 10 stacks of "Blessing of the Wan Light" to get it. Will Jingran be able to use it? I don't understand what are those stacks?

I don't have Iuno, but I will be pulling for both Jingran and her during 3.6. my question to you, Iuno Mainers, which echo set should I pre-farm?

In a week I will get SuiSui and stop farming for her echo set (and Jingran, I got over 200 of his echoes already), so I will be able to start farming for Iuno echo set. The thing is, I don't know which one suits better for supporting Jingran? Although would be also nice to know which echo set I need to use her as main DPS, maybe just for fun I will try her out a few times with Lynae Mornye;)

Oh, and please, if you know stats I need, can you also please tell me? Maybe I will pre-build her as well. I doubt I will need whole month of farming her echoes, so might aswell pre-build her.

Small intro: I played 3.5 story on day one and as everyone I enjoyed it a lot, I would say 9/10 story. Day after, once the hype was gone from my mind and I could start analyzing what actually happened - I couldn’t be more dissatisfied with how KURO handled YangYang’s Re-Awakening. I hope you will listen to what I have to say and we can have a respectful discussion.

SPOILERS WILL BE AHEAD!

My first question is - what is 3.5 about? What themes it explores and how are they connected? Let’s start with the best part of this story quest, SuiSui and Hsin quest. During it we are being reminded again and again by Hsin, that there are consequences to our choices and in the end sacrifices must be made. First time I noticed this theme of consequence and sacrifice when Hsin made a test for SuiSui, where no matter the choice, someone had to die, be it SuiSui or NPC. We can trace the “sacrifice” theme to earlier parts of 3.5 story:
when YangYang had to stay for Chixia to survive;
when YangYang and two guards had to lure away the robots, so that villagers could survive, which led to death of said NPCs;
We can trace it to the 200 year old war and sacrifice of soldiers to stop the war.
Moreover, in my opinion, Kuro were preparing us, the players, for a long time to do a sacrifice. Be it Ameath story, or Denia or even cyberpunk collab. Clearly KuroGames are trying to sway the story to more grounded place where Rover can’t save everyone. Hopefully I made good enough argument to say that one of the main themes surely had to be about sacrifice. What is next?

YangYang and her personal growth. I believe we all can agree that 3.5 patch is focused around YangYang and her new awakening. It is fair to say, that this quest was supposed to give YangYang’s character more depth, maybe even grow her and change a bit. She goes through a lot of stress and adventure throughout this quest, but did Kuro actually made YangYang grow as a character? I will talk about it a bit later.

And lastly, the third theme I could detect is about war scared people, which is specifically tied to the village where YangYang ended up finding the sword and meeting Lingyang (sorry if I misspelled her name, the girl with a spear).

From my short summary of all main themes I could detect, you can clearly see that I talked a lot about one, and not so much about the others. That is because in my opinion, the theme of sacrifice was the original idea for this patch. But, for whatever reason, they changed it and made everything worse, and here is why:
How the village and 200 year old war story is actually connected to the main plot?
I tried to think about the village for a long time and I am genuinely confused. I can’t find any reason why would Kuro make this village ark one and a half hour long, here are my deductions: First, for anyone saying that this is world building, I don’t think that you need over an hour of walking and talking to random NPCs you will forget right after you finish talking to them, to “world build”. If you think about what we actually learned is that there was a terrible war 200 years ago, there is a sword left from this war, representing the sacrifice of all the soldiers, and here is new Spear Girl who can’t bear the weight of responsibility, to choose whom she has to sacrifice as a leader, so that the rest survives. No other patch in wuwa history stayed for so long on one particular place to “world build” and it is not as if we actually learned a lot, especially the war part which had been repeated like 5 different times, even though such things are usually left for in-game notes. Clearly it could have been done faster. So what is the real reason? YangYang’s growth? And here we arrive at what I really wanted to say all this time.

YangYang didn’t change a bit, and in fact, her whole journey with the village folk can be completely cut and nothing would change.

Just think about it, YangYang is the biggest empath of Wuwa story from day one, that is why she always tried to help everyone and this is why she joined the rangers in the first place. And what happens during the 3.5 story? Is her empathy being challenged? Did she reflect on the war story? Did she change even a bit after her ReAwakening? Did those villagers or war story in any shape or form influence YangYang’s decisions or her character? No. She is still the same person, the biggest empath. She still underestimates her abilities. She never changed. And what she did before her second resonance awakening? She was just helping everyone, like she used. What actually happened? I couldn’t find anything of substance that actually happened during her village arc. I would even dare say, the spear girl was more of a character during 3.5 story who actually had to make difficult choices and change by the end of it all. She is more of a character than YangYang. How sad it is for me to understand that random NPC who most likely will never be on screen again except a few cameos, was better written than THE YangYang herself. And what about all those dead people from 200 year old war you may ask? They did appear in the end during YangYang’s Re - Awakening. Yes they did. Let’s discuss this part now.

YangYang gains new power from ghosts of soldiers who died 200 years ago just because don’t ask why and that’s it. Yes. This is what we were waiting for. Through cliche “power of friendship” type of situation, YangYang gets her new power. Just wow. And here we circle back all the way to the main theme of sacrifice. Do you remember YangYang resonator trailer? Remember how Chixia was dead there? Yes. In my opinion, original idea was for YangYang go through struggle of not being able to save anyone, to not being as strong and capable as Rover, which would lead up to Chixia’s sacrifice to save YangYang during final boss fight, which would scar YangYang and during her emotional breakdown she would overclock and gain her new power. All this talk from Hsin how Rover shouldn’t have gotten the new electro power, how there will be consequences, how sacrifice must be done, how people dying change others, it all would made perfect sense if in the end Chixia had to sacrifice herself to save YangYang. I forgot to mention, remember how mother of the spear girl from 200 years ago went to war because her husband died? It also connects to our main theme of sacrifice and how trauma of people dying changes everyone around. And due to Chixia death YangYang’s personality would change. Maybe she would have gotten angrier, or after gaining new power stopped underestimating herself and gotten more confident, but due to her best friend dying she maybe gotten angrier sometimes or more emotional.

In conclusion, I would like to say, that the theme of sacrifice makes perfect sense, but the village, the ghosts of dead soldiers, no actual sacrifice being made in spite of everything leading up to it, it just all doesn’t make any sense, so in the end the theme of sacrifice wasnt properly explored. And what do you think? I hope I made my case clear. YangYang just gotten her new power randomly with no actual logic behind how these ghosts given it to her, this is what sparked my desire to make this post.

Extra bit of criticism: new villain is cliche and boring. His whole motivation in this quest is that he hates sentinels just because, no reason in particular. And he is against all emotions. Wow. Just pure evil, even Marvel villains has more depth than this guy. I can’t believe we can accept this guy, after Phrolova and Christophoro. Even if we assume that we didn’t get all the story yet, maybe Kuro will add to his hate of sentinels in future. Still, we all know after over 2 year worth of stories, that sentinels are great. All the sentinels we met were trying to help people. This new villain even asks rover if he has any proof that sentinels are not evil. Well in fact yes we do have proof based on 2 years of storytelling! So the whole motivation of this guy is based on lack of knowledge about sentinels lol. I bet Hsin betrayed him in the past or smth since she is a FOX. Imagine being evil for 200 years because you were unlucky to met the only sentinel who is scheming like our dear Fox Hsin lol. That would make for a boring villain, in my opinion.
