Has anyone recovered from an extreme case of trypanophobia?

Hi everyone.
I’m a 25-year-old woman, and I’ve had severe trypanophobia for about 16 years. This isn’t just “being afraid of needles.” My fear starts days before a blood test.
For about 2 weeks beforehand I usually:
can’t sleep,
cry constantly,
vomit everything, even water,
have panic attacks,
and by the day of the appointment I often faint or completely lose control.
In the past I’ve run out of medical offices, fainted, vomited and even become aggressive during panic because my brain goes into pure survival mode.
The biggest problem is that almost every doctor I’ve spoken to has either dismissed me or refused to help. I wasn’t asking to avoid blood tests forever—I was asking for a gradual approach and help managing the anxiety (for example, preparing over multiple appointments or discussing medication for the procedure). Instead, I was often told they couldn’t help me, and two doctors even said they could physically restrain me if necessary. That completely destroyed my trust in healthcare.
There was only one doctor who ever helped me successfully. She never forced me. If I said “stop,” she stopped. If I wasn’t ready, she would simply say, “We’ll try another day.” She always respected my boundaries, explained everything in advance, and kept looking for ways to make it easier. Unfortunately, she retired.
Because of this phobia I have avoided blood tests for 10 years. I recently lost a job and opportunity because I couldn’t complete the required (pre-)employment blood work, and I honestly feel hopeless.
Has anyone here had a phobia this severe and actually improved? What helped you? Therapy? Medication? Exposure therapy? A specific approach from a doctor?
I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have been through something similar.
Thank you:) (Slovakia)

I’m also scared that some doctor will ruin my life over this post- that’s why new account xd
