Shared sighting - Celje, Slovenia (Dec 2020)

Picture I found off google for descriptive example.

Edit: 2019, not 2020. Apologies.

Location: Near the railway crossing heading from the Spar (Mariborska cesta) towards Ljubečna, Celje, Slovenia on Empty stretch of road near silos.

Date/Time: Late December 2020, around Midnight.

Witnesses: Two (myself and my wife).

My wife and I were driving home after a late shift. We were both complaining and bickering about work when something darted across the road directly in front of us. It moved with good speed and didn't even glance at our headlights. It ran on its two legs , hunched and facing the direction of it's travel.

The thing looked very much like the artwork in the attached file 2420.jpg although perhaps the arms weren't as big, although this is recollection from 6 years ago. It is almost hard to believe that actually happened. It wasn't a standard wolf; it looked almost like someone in a high-end costume because of the muscular definition, but the way it moved was too fluid for a human. It was lean, long-limbed, and had that distinct digitigrade (animal-like) leg structure so I don't see how it could be a person wearing a suit.

The most jarring part was the immediate silence between us. After a few seconds, we both confirmed we saw the exact same thing. "...Did you just see that....." "...oh you saw that too..." We didn't say much til we got home which was long after and then we thought together what on earth that was, assuming it was a wolf or a person in a suit, and either didn't satisfy. It’s one thing to see something strange alone, but having my wife see it too makes it impossible to brush off as a trick of the light.

I am not from Slovenia and no longer live in Slovenia however I visit from time to time. I am aware of Vukodlak legends. I am aware how stupid this all sounds but my wife and I both know we saw Something. I'd like to know what some of your thoughts are on my experience.
